AND DNA TEST was founded by Amanda Whaley, NMD, a licensed naturopathic physician and former DNA Analyst II with hands-on experience in paternity and other biological-relationship testing.
During her laboratory career, Dr. Whaley performed DNA extraction, quantification, PCR amplification, capillary electrophoresis, STR analysis, and data interpretation. She created, reviewed, and approved DNA reports through a multilevel review process and participated in CAP and AABB proficiency testing and quality-assurance activities supporting CLIA, CAP, and AABB requirements.
Dr. Whaley currently uses DNA and genetic testing in clinical practice and has additional experience in investigative genetic genealogy and complex kinship analysis. Through AND DNA TEST, she helps customers identify the appropriate relationship test and understand the collection process, expected turnaround time, and scope of the results.
